Upcoming Wake Up UK 2012 Tour!

The monastics from Plum Village, students of world renowned Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, will be coming to the UK for another wonderful tour of mindfulness workshops for young people in October 2012.

In today’s busy world, we all experience the stress, pressures, and expectations of daily life – overconsumption, overwork, uncertainty and anxiety about the future. How can we touch peace and freedom in the midst of it all?

These mindfulness workshops offer us time and space to come together to disengage from all the busyness and begin to reclaim our freedom.

The young monks and nuns from Plum Village will guide you through simple practices including sitting meditation, walking meditation, deep relaxation and eating meditation.

With the tools of mindfulness practice, we will learn how to stop and listen more deeply to ourselves and others, to explore what binds us and what can make us more free.

If you know a thing or two about mindfulness, great. If you’re new to the practice, even better. The most important thing to remember about mindfulness is that it is to be experienced. Words and people can describe it, but its true transformative power will be seen when you are able to practice it for yourself.

That’s what we’re here to help you with.

Check out the events here and register your place. Workshops are open to young people under 35, except for the one in Belfast, which is open to all ages.
